Ramesh ("Rudy") Shankar founder of Signatech Systems has worked with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and with Fortune 50 companies-- Honeywell and AMF. He developed markets, performed on projects and delivered practical technology solutions that fully integrated advanced capabilities with workforce skills. He specialized in sensor technologies-- especially leveraging wireless technologies to avoid costly rewiring and/or accessing remote assets-- to measure critical process conditions and equipment wear and tear which led to the first-of-its-kind at an operating nuclear plant. He was instrumental in forming and managing a working group consisting of important stakeholders on Fleet Wide Monitoring. The technology and methodology have been embraced by several operating utilities in the US and Europe. In 2006 he assisted in the conduct of regional workshops nation wide on Energy Efficiency and Climate Change which led to the launch of a new research and development program.
